When the sun goes high, sometimes we become hungry and tempted to chew on something, but when the lunch time is not yet coming a big meal is unlikely to be done. Because of this, people often eat some snacks to replace the meal. For the snack, it is very common when we find people eating chips or cookies for the snack. Other than that, sandwich sometimes is also chosen for heavier snack.

If you love eating snacks but start to feel bored with the menu of  local snacks, maybe you are interested to try French snacks for some variation. In this French snacks menu, you can find some variations like cinnamon toast for the easiest snacks to be made. To make this snack, you just need bread loaf and cinnamon powder and then toast it. It is very easy. Other menu that will tickle your appetite is Croque Monsieur. This menu is simply toasted sandwich of cheese and ham. This menu is very common in France for the appetizer.

Cooking this snack is easy, you just need to slice bread loaf, cover it with ham and cheese then cover the ham with bread loaf again, just like usual sandwich. After that, grill the sandwich for about 2 minutes. That’s it. Your Croque Monsieur is ready to be served.

If you feel that you are more like as vegetarian, you can try various menus like Chou Lyonnais and Chou á l’Ardenaisse. Basically, the menus are made from cabbage as the main ingredients. To make it is also easy. For example is Chou Lyonnais. To cook it, you just need to shred the cabbage and insert it to boiled water for about 5 minutes until the moisture is gone. Besides that, you also need to sauté the onion until it becomes brown. After that, add the onion with the cabbage and add brown, sugar, pepper and salt for the seasoning. Not too many efforts are needed. It is just easy.

If you think that you do not have too much time for cooking, you can make other vegetable based menu French snacks like French Cabbage Salad or French mushroom salad for the snack. You just need to shred the vegetables and add some olive oil and mayonnaise for the dressing. With these kinds of menus of French snacks, you can get some variation on your snack and not always eating that crunchy chips or cookies that must be boring to be consumed every day.
